I was writing a post about how the damn book was all over the place. You nailed it. I guess someone is trying to go Twilight route on it to make it more appealing to the younger generation but I was about seventeen when I got my hands on the books and I had friends younger than that who had read them. Someone needs a message not to dumb it down just to get more expanse of people to read them.

I really don't know. Ostensibly, because I am the symbolic ruler of the tribe, highly visible, which makes me a target. But that doesn't quite work, does it? I'm a target now. I'm known. I've spilled secrets. What's more, if we are to accept the logic of the story in Blood Communion and I need a bodyguard because I'm some sort of feeble-minded figure-head, how can this be a world which tears down all barriers? Clearly that's a nonsense.
