random love letter

Hi, fandom! I'm alive and upright and stuff! And I have a rose and a box of chocolates, which makes me really happy. Thank you, wonderful unknown people, and I hope you have a great day today; I offer you virtual hugs and desirable items of your choice in return. (I kind of want to say bite-sized chocolate ratboys, just out of habit, but I think ( Read more... )

Always good to hear from you, my dear. You sound like you're doing a lot better.

::massive hugs::

I hope you do decide to write something about Buffy, as I for one would love to read it. Maybe about all the things you like best?

*hugs back* I really am, and I've got my fingers crossed that this is a permanent change for the better, especially once I stop saying "ow" every time I reach for something on a high shelf.

The mixedness of my relationship with Buffy really would be fun to talk about. I think part of the problem is that some of the things I really admire the show for doing are at the same time things that make me less happy as a viewer. But the things that make me happy really make me very happy. I can nearly always talk myself out of writing and posting about stuff, though; I keep thinking "but this isn't interesting enough" and shaving it down until it becomes incomprehensible, and then I junk the whole thing. Possibly not the best way to communicate. :)

Possibly not. (:

But I understand about talking yourself out of writing and posting stuff. My problem is that once I have the thoughts clearly articulated in my head, I no longer feel the momentum to type them out. I keep trying to remind myself that I have readers. And you! You have readers!

dude, I would dearly love a bite-sized chocolate ratboy, but I can't seem to find any in the stores around here!

hope your day is good, and the actual chocolates are as cheering as the virtual ones.

*samples my chocolates, with not a ratboy in the box*

*beams* Oh yeah, the chocolates were good, even the chili truffle that nearly took the top of my head off. (Call me conservative - I just don't think chocolate should make your tongue go numb.) And I do miss the bite-sized chocolate ratboys. They were excellent currency to use in a variety of fannish situations.

Oh, despite being slightly foxed, I don't think bite-sized chocolate ratboys have truly passed their use-by date.

XOXO

Oh, wow. I doubt you will come back here a month and a half later, dear anon, but I really appreciate that you came in here to tell me! Thank you. :)
