if anyone's interested here are more cards (I started the list this morning over
here)
I'm trying to keep this a readable size, so I don't describe the cards in detail, just an outline of the basic meaning as I see it.
9-the hermit: It's about introspection, wisdom, solitude and isolation
Again Buffy is mostly about the group so it's hard to find

I like your version much much better!
And Dru would be perfect for the moon card.
I’m not familiar enough with Tarot to make my own deck but it was really interesting to hear your ideas :)
*kisses you* xxx

I hope they thought of Dru when they made the moon card. I would really love to see her in the deck, since the artwork is gorgeous.
I tried to draw my own deck a few years ago (nothing to do with Buffy though) but I only got about eight cards done.

The hermit: "introspection, wisdom, solitude and isolation" might be Oz, perhaps? (Especially in his Tibetan phase).
The sun: I like Dawn for this, not only because of the "optimism, energy, innocence, being radiant" thing, but because of the Sun/Dawn symbolism.
The world: "wholeness, prospering, accomplishment" - I'd show Vi saying "these guys are dust" with perhaps some of the other new Slayers in the background. People realising their potential.
Interesting discussion!

Oh yes, that's brilliant! I didn't think of him at all but he fits perfectly of course.
(but where do I put poor Giles then???)
but because of the Sun/Dawn symbolism.
I agree, that would be a nice new symbol. Also there is usually a child in the card and Dawn is the youngest regular.
People realising their potential.
I like that interpretation a lot. A group shot of potentials would be cool.
Thank you very much for stopping by and adding your thoughts!

Justice? Having a clear head and thinking logically was his forté (more so than Willow, I'd say: she's intelligent but she's also driven by emotions). And making the logical but tough decisions (such as killing Ben) is what Giles was all about.
