Sadly I only ever seem to have time to write when most of LJ is on holiday but I'm still very glad I got to spend some quality tv time today. Season 2 is neat isn't it?

I agree - could not understand why they decided to go all Henry VIII/Anne Boleyn on Stannis. It not only severely out of character, it clearly can't be a plot point since it was not in the books. Tyrion and Arya kick butt. I like Gendry more in this than in the books. OTH - Hotpie and Arya's other friend are kinda dull. I do miss Stannis's daughter and the fool. And Davos has always just bored the crap outta me.

I think in the books there was still a reason why Davos was so loyal to Stannis. He's not a nice person, he's uncharismatic and not even especially smart, but he is honest. Taking that away from him, both by making him an oathbreaker and by taking away Shireen (who Stannis sees as his heir in the books, no mater what).

I love Arya and yes Gendry makes more of an impression on screen.
