At some point during the coming week it would appear that my friend will be ringing to inform me that her mother has passed away. This will be very sad but . . . it will be made even more sad by two facts. Friend just asked if she can turn up for me to witness something for her!

Probably another new will if she's fallen out with her family again! If she carries on like this she'll have to plant a tree to cover her carbon footprint!

This morning it rained! Not much, more of a dribble really but every little helps! It's also cooler so phew!

After well over 40 years Mr W and myself have never tied the knot. To give the man his due he did ask the question. Tonight Mr W wants cooked chicken with assorted vegetables! Fj is too busy to post more as she is busy sharpening her meat cleaver!

My kitchen gets the sun in the afternoon. We're in the middle of a heatwave here and it is VERY hot! I explain to Mr W that I do not wish to cook an evening meal as it's too hot. He says he understands my predicament completely. Aww sweet! I suggest a salad. :D He suggest a nice pie with added vegetables. Sheesh!

Two very young people, that I've never met before, turn up at my little country abode, charm Mr W and bedazzle Da Sproglet and then make themselves at home before decamping to a near neighbours property for a musical extravaganza! The swallows are on their second brood in the garage! Trouble is the nest is very high up and not easy to see. All the accumulated poop is at ground level though!

Slight problem incoming! Super friendly blackbird assumes that if I produce any form of food with which to entertain visitors whilst they're sitting in the garden and enjoying panoramic views of a multitude of weeds that said food is automatically being provided for him!
