Slight problem incoming! Super friendly blackbird assumes that if I produce any form of food with which to entertain visitors whilst they're sitting in the garden and enjoying panoramic views of a multitude of weeds that said food is automatically being provided for him! Last lot of visitors thought it was wonderful to have such an avian

We have a friendly blackbird but it is only interested in worms so we dig them up and put them in a little pile for collection. I wonder what would happen if we left cake instead?

DON'T LEAVE CAKE!!!

They then assume you have been put on this earth to cook and feed them - rather like Mr W in fact! Mr W was really annoyed when he ended up with a blackbird sitting on his shoe awaiting a food handout. He said it was all my fault because they wouldn't be hanging about waiting for food if I hadn't given them some pieces of cake! When I do make cake it's not just the blackbirds hanging around Mr W!!!!

There will be cake but you might have to eat it under the protection of a large cardboard over your head! Try not to leave any crumbs though as 'Grumbleguts' the blackbird will suss out what you are doing!
