all fun, no work.

In case you haven't noticed, I don't have work until Wednesday. Which means shitloads of free time, which apparently translates to posting loads of livejournal entries nobody cares about. Hurrah!

There's this meme that's been going around, so I present Ten Unpopular Opinions from three fandoms: Harry Potter, Green Wing & Bollywood.

some of these may be semi-popular, though. )

list, tv: green wing, fandom rant, harry potter, shipping, bollywood

Hehe, you and me and Bollywood #4 :D

And wow, I would love some Bollywood wank (maybe from talkbollywood) to get reported.

And I always assume that most actors are stupid (either full or pretenious stupid) and that the ones that aren't are the exception.

Yeah, I hear TB is bad with wank but I've never visited it much myself. I think it'd be cool too but not many wankas know Bollywood so it's unlikely.

Hahaha, good approach!

Heeee. If I was the kind of person who was all about 'everyone MUST confirm to my opinions,' those Harry Potter opinions would give me a heart-attack :)

And liking Esha? Heretic! :P

Most of my HP opinions are currently coloured by me being slightly fed up with the fandom politics/wank side of the fandom. Hence the death opinion and stuff.

Yeah, I know. But Hema-Dharmendra uber alles, and Esha is actually very pretty.

I totally hear you on 4 & 5 of the HP opinions. Hermione definitely has that kind of personality that, without a man who has bested her in every which way, will probably wear the pants in the relationship. Unfortunately, I'm kind of like that, as well, wah!

And #5, I agree whole-heartedly. We were talking in my Harry Potter class about why Luna was so necessary in OOTP and determined that she balances out Harry's CAPS-LOCK madness. She's such a stoic. I love how her take on death is so different than anyone else's (but Dumbledore's). Luna's stoicism perfectly balances Harry's nature.

Dude, you have class on HP? Excellent! Yeah, Luna in OOTP especially. There was still potential there for a canon relationship that I wouldn't have minded at all but then came HBP with its fanficcy plotlines. Sigh. But at least we H/L lovers have fic.

Of course, I think the potential just came from Rowling cleverly using Luna as a vehicle for the plot and Harry's development (he forgets about his own sadness over Sirius when he hears about Luna's mother), but still. H/L is so lovely.

For HP, I most definately agree with #2. Effing Sirius...

But I refuse to give Esha a chance. EVER! And as a member of fandom_wank, you have no idea how many times I've debated posting up some of the crazier things that have happened on Bollywhat. I just don't want to be the one to air out the dirty laundry.

Ohhh I feel exactly the same, re: Bollywank. I was *this* close to reporting the insane happenings on Kajol-Board, with the KANK bashing (pre-release!) and the death "threats" but when I started typing up the report I realized it would be so lost on the people who didn't know the fandom at all. Also, of course when ppl don't know your fandom, you want them to think of it as a cool place, not an uber-wanky one.

Aww, accept Esha in your heart! If Kareena and Abhi have won you over.. ;)

LOL, I haven't accepted Kareena either! I usually give actors a limit: "If this next movie of theirs is no good, I give up on them." Abhi is the only one who came through!

You abso-friggin'-lutely need to check out Omkara, though. Kareena is suberb. The rest of the film's really good, too.
