Is it odd to rec a story while posting one yourself? In the same post? Same fandom? Maybe, but hey, it's all the same topic. I found awesome fic for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, more awesome and in-character than my fic, probably, so I must share.

YA I DID. At first I wasn't going to but then I saw someone had requested it for Yuletide and was like "It's a sign! Must write!".

Well see, I don't normally read fic like at all, so I especially don't ever read it for like...things that aren't Harry Potter, really, unless someone on my flist has written it. It never even occurred to me to write Kiss Kiss Bang Bang fic, which is strange because a lot of things occurred to me regarding that movie and how...brilliant it is in like every way.

Well, nothing can ever be as good as the original but that's the story with all fic, isn't it just? Sometimes I wish my brain didn't think "MUST BE FICCED" all the time or as often as it does, though, because some things just can't be written fic about.

I really like this fic.

Though I did once sort of yank it a bit, because sometimes you just have those impulses you can't fight off like if the girl who sits in front of you in class and she has braids, and you're only nine so of course you have to pull on one of her braids or dip it in ink or something, even if you don't like the girl or anything. Not that we had ink in school, I wasn't born in the 1930's.

What I think is great about that bit in particular is it echoes of the "sore" line.

I really enjoyed this! The Harry voice here is *excellent* - it's babble, but really well controlled babble. Perry is great too, the dry and worldly tone is dead on, and I love reading about their partnership continued. Thanks!

There are out-takes to the fic where I was too lost in writing the rambling and Harry's narration completely lost the plot. Paragraphs that are sort of funny but mostly just really unnecessary. So yeah, glad you thought the final version doesn't have too many off-tangent bits.
