[ Someone is avoiding the crap out of issues and not telling anyone anything important. So. Philosophical discussions! ]

I'm starting to wonder - how do you tell if someone is an alternate version of you, an alternate version of someone you're related to, or they only have the same face?

Simply that if he reminds you of your younger self, then he might have been just that - an alternate version of yourself, younger and in a different time.

Because the similarities of every occurrence is too regular to not have some kind of a pattern.

It's possible that all these things are true, from a certain perspective. It's a question of degree, scale, and metatemporal distance, with a bit of coincidence thrown in for good measure.

Not only was my name the same, my personality wasn't significantly different, either. My appearance changed, though, but I don't think green skin would have made sense in that world.
