I'm starting to wonder - how do you tell if someone is an alternate version of you, an alternate version of someone you're related to, or they only have the same face?
Because it doesn't seem to be easy to differentiate. [

That's dependent on the view that we don't have a core personality. [ Pause, and he shrugs. ] I suppose you can call it a 'soul'. A part of you that is solely yours and isn't affected by the times we live in, our biology, or what happens in our lives.
I don't believe in that.

I don't think that my experience counts for everyone, or that I'm right. But in my universe, I have experiences of such... alternates. [ Pauses. ] Alternate versions of myself that I still recognize, even if their faces look different and they speak differently.
