First, I played with the little rigid heddle loom. Then I got myself a little vintage Weave-It Loom. These little hand-held looms were first made in the 30s and popular up through the 70s. Well, OF COURSE you wouldn't sew them together. Too obvious. One of the neatest projects I saw incorporated tiny woven square in handmade paper for a booklet.

That's exactly what I use them for. They make great coasters.
