Time for another easy recipe. Very fast prep and easy to make. Basically all you have to do is chop some vegetables, measure some seasonings, and then mix it all together. I halved the original recipe and found it was pretty spicy for us (we like things up to about medium spiciness) so this recipe tones it down just a little.
Turkey White Chili
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoons oregano
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (maybe even switch to chili powder)
1 teaspoon salt
1 lbs ground turkey (or ground beef)
1 cup chicken broth
1 (15.5 ounce) cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- In a large skillet, saute onions, peppers, garlic, olive oil and seasonings for 5 minutes.
- Add ground turkey and brown.
- Add broth and beans.
- Let simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
