Grimm it Up

The trouble with places like Nexus is that there's all kinds of room for creativity, and that creativity can lead to some...unusual circumstance. Bored with all this lovey-dovey drama, Nexus has created a new room with a most unusual effect. It seems someone had left a book of fairy tales out or suchlike, and now this room is bent on making those ( Read more... )

I'm not ridiculously late and I didn't get distracted

[Snake wanders into the strange room by accident. He's been drifting around the busier parts of the Nexus lately, simply watching various events unfold as if looking through a window. Even now after so long away from his "Master" the damaged soldier feels as if he is not yet quite human enough to be a part of the usual madness.]

["Not human enough" is exactly what he gets, though. The moment he steps into the room he finds himself transformed into a deer and lets out a started bark of alarm.]

[Well, she certainly wasn't sure what to make of this...outfit. If you could even call it that. She hardly had the figure for it, and it left her feeling quite a bit exposed.]

[Still, she had a basket filled with...food, and there was only one door in sight. She knocked on it quietly.]

Hello?

[And the door is opened by an anthropomorphic wolf in an Armani suit (Granny's clothes just don't have the right flair).]

So you must be Little Red Riding Hood~

[Her brain had a seconds-long shut down at what she was seeing before setting itself right. That was a very snazzy suit.]

I guess so. [At the moment, she really didn't think it would matter.] You must be...the Wolf.

[Talib's odd "family" in the Nexus had disappeared some time ago, leaving the madman strangely adrift. He wasn't quite depressed that his people had gone away. He was merely...distracted. He had, as it is occasionally said, become accustomed to their faces.]

[And they had been his.]

[But all of that matters very little now as the Iraqi soldier lies motionless in a glass coffin. The dress is hardly flattering, but insane torturers who wander into effect rooms can't be choosers.]

[Tap-tap-tap goes the sword]

[Talib doesn't move, doesn't breath, doesn't even twitch as if sleeping.]

[He's pretty much dead, yep.]

[Like Talib, Dimitri found himself fast asleep, but it was a welcome change to the battle with insomnia.]

[He just would have prefered it not to have come with the blue dress and red rose clasped lightly in his hands. It wasn't his fault he had pricked his finger on that damned spindle! He just wanted to see if it still worked.]
