Yes, the style does look different, but not that different. And, honestly, I think I like your Earth better than the girl. Don't get me wrong, both are gorgeous, but the Earth with all its swirls and mixed colors has me going, "squee, pretty!"
xDD I think i like the earth better than the girl too. but I think that if I posted up a random scribble of the earth by itself, people would be like "uh... okay" or that's what I told myself ^^
unfortunately, like other people have said before, the pretty (?!) Earth gets more attention than the girl herself. ^^; She looks a lot like Yui from Fushigi Yuugi, only in Western school uniform...

I don't think you've seen Hoshi no Koe, so I'll forgive you that statement ;D (though midway through coloring it I thought "hey, she kind of looks like Hitomi from Escaflowne if I changed the shirt"
