I'm just passing by (brain fried by work and Torchwood so badly :S) but. Do you know write or die? I can't use it myself (don't ask, it's a thing) but I know lots of people find it very, very helpful.
Drabbles are also a good comprimise on this front - you have to be exact and precise to get those 100 words, but they're short (and addictive) so it sort of meets both your perfectionist and "MUST WRITE SOMETHING" needs.
Will try to drop in next week to apply requested kicking ;)
*waves* You're always welcome here, fried brain or no!
That icon always makes me smile :) (And my current icon is not exactly my mood, but it amuses me, so eh!)
Write or Die isn't really my cuppa either, but it is neat that so many people like it.
And upon a bit of further reflection today, I think a good amount of my current mindgames is related to the confluence of 'external prompt' and 'time limit' (and 'required word constraints', but to a lesser degree). I have issues when it comes to writing, and prior to now-ish they hadn't really shown up in my fan writing because it hadn't managed to hit enough of my buttons. And I really want to have less issues with writing and I'm actively working on that. And since the dragons have reared their head only recently in my fanwork, they should be easier (at least a bit) (and then that success should help me with the broader writing issues! *nods firmly* I am being positive and doing things and not moping! [Which never solved anything, let me tell you.] I can do this!) Um, sorry,
( ... )
That sucks. I proscribe hot chocolate, reading fuzzy things, and cuddling with your husband. (I am always annoyed that homesickness is always a 'treat the symptoms' rather than 'here's the cure' thing.)

Rodney + Teyla or Rodney/Teyla (your choice): Cheering up
John + Rodney or John/Rodney: Comfort
Evan Lorne: Happy
If those are too easy I can come up with more. :)
Happy anniversary, Fishy!

I hope you mean that these fit in your mood because you are happy, not because you are sad! *hugs regardless*

I am sad, I'm afraid. A lot of reasons but mostly homesickness, I think. At least I'll get to visit in August.
