Auto Billpay? No thanks!

Jul 24, 2009 08:25

21st Century (car insurance) wants me to do auto billpay. If not, they charge $3.25 per online payment. I may have to send an executive email carpet bomb to these assholes. In the meantime I have to resort to writing a paper check and sending my payment in the mail. Pain in the butt!!!

online payment, getting reamed by auto insurance, whining

I'm glad you included the tag, otherwise I would've wondered why you were getting monthly bills from a real estate agency.

OLD MAAAAAN go back to the 20th century where you belong!

I should make a contribution to the march of dimes so they'll start sending me those address stickers with my name on it. I know that's where you get yours :))

can't schedule a billpay from your bank? henare July 24 2009, 20:34:12 UTC
that should have the effect of writing a check without actually having to write a check.

I thought of that after I wrote the check. I should do that next time. Do you do billpay with your bank? I'm not sure how long it takes for them to pay the actual bill.

your bank will tell you--this varies by the payee (some take electronic payments and this requires less leadtime, and some really do want checks and this requires two or three days). i do my billpay through wells fargo but any bank that offers billpay should be able to do this.

oooooh i have wells fargo too! i thought they all took paper checks. we used to have to receive paper checks that went through via billpay and they were like a month or so late so i was hesitant to use. you never had problems with your billpay?
