I haven't actually watched it yet, but I've flipped through and watched a few seconds here and there. The voices seem awfully quiet to me for some reason. Yeah, I felt a little sorry for Nall in that game. Then again, he's a dragon. It'd be like us making friends with cats. It's sad to see them go, but it's not life-changing. I imagine he came to terms with his lifespan pretty quickly, even if he does reminisce. I think we'd get used to it, but I don't think I'd like it. I'd rather have ten years spent happily with even one other person than thousands spent deliberately alone.

I've often thought about that. Immortality would be such a burden. If vampires or other immortals really existed I bet they would soon go insane after a couple hundred years. 1 lifetime is more than enough. I look forward to the rest I will find in slumber at the end of this life.

You could make new friends in immortality. If anything, that could be a bigger problem than having none at all - you'd be overwhelmed with social connections.

I guess I should add, too, that HOW one spends immortality is perhaps the biggest qualifier for it being desirable. Living forever is worthless if it sucks.

Yeah, I meant to add that onto my reply. I'm sure it'd be possible to just adapt to the idea, where you don't care that there will be no one but yourself that remains all through your life. It'd be a life of one-night stands and revelry. Don't make any strong connections, just make tons of small ones. There are enough people in the world that you could do that. You could be the next Jay Gatsby.

It would've been pretty funny if Gatsby wasn't killed and just flew off into the night with Lestat.
