funny thought i had while smoking (outside because the liberals use government to get rid of something that pissed them off)

we have all seen those "i love my country but fear my government" stickers, usually on the cars with "impeach bush" and other such lovely liberal stickers ( Read more... )

i love my country. i generally distrust the government, but no more than i distrust any large bureaucratic organization, like insurance companies. and at least there's the illusion of getting to vote. the far left is even worse than the far right, for the simple fact that they're so strict about liberties.

hum im with you and im not.

of course they want to stay rich, but that does NOT always have to be at someone else's expense, and even if it is, its not the rich person's fault that they failed, its their own.

i think very very few people would never donate a dime to charity. almost everyone i know has, i have for Christ's sake :P but my whole life ive seen people give, and thats while being taxed, imagine if they could just give as they wanted to. i cant help but think the world would be a much better place. and the cold hard truth is even if they didnt give, its not like the person ever did anything to deserve to get a free ride.

sorry i only saw like half of your comment, the rest got cut off for some reason.

the issue with democracy, anarchy, and communism are inherent to the systems, and as far as communism goes has nothing to do with the idea being messed up by the people...the idea already is messed up. its scary man :P

the flaws in capitalism are human, and more importantly than that they are criminal. but if allowed to run its course they system cleans its self.

i think maybe i have presented myself as an anarcho-capitalism person...im not, i think they are morons, i am for pure capitalism, which does include the rule of law.

Wow. See the American Gov't is alot scarier than the Canadian gov't.

But you're right, people can make a stand if they actually try with companies and show them that they're not going to take certain things then they'd change thier habits. I just don't understand (considering how few people actually vote..) why enough people don't stand up to their government and say enough is enough before it's too late.

Your government can actually go into your bank account? Wow. I'm so glad I don't live in the US. I always thought they could lock down your accounts if you committed crimes but I didn't think they could take the money out. Sick.

i can not 100% say for sure that they still can. but about 10 year ago my aunt who paid the wrong amount on her taxes (by mistake) about 4 months later checked her mail box and in it was a letter saying time was up, and they had just taken it out of her account. and sure enough it was gone. i vividly remember her weeping because it was like 3 days before she had to pay rent. tons of people have stories like that too ( ... )

Wow. Yes. That's alot scarier than here. The worst they'll do here is fine you, garnish your wages and if worse comes to worse and you do it long enough and for a large enough amount they'll take you to court and throw one in jail ( ... )
