YOU'RE GETTING OLD SEV.

mikononyte on my F-list likes to crochet. She does great stuff, though she hasn't sent me anything as of yet. So if you want a crochet buddy, there's one!

Don't have much more to say other than that. Well that and knit me a delicious cake. :P

[BUFFALO HOMETOWN BROFIST?]

I kind of know how to knit, I'm more at the sewing and duct taping thing but... I can knit. (Even if that's about it, because LOL what is purling and casting off?!)

I learned how to knit years ago, but I never really liked it. Then I learned how to crochet this past summer and now love it, so.

There are a lot of fantastic patterns out there. :3 And it is both relaxing and addicting - a short break you can take while still doing something or even just a way to keep your hands busy while you watch / listen to something.

Have fun with it. :)

I think one of the main problems, though, is yarn accumulating / not having enough yarn or the right colors of it.

i never did get the knack for knitting or crochet, but i've always been a bet envious of those of you who can do it. ;)

as for your eleventy billion hats/scarves/shawls/etc that you will make but never need, have you considered dontating them to a women's or homeless shelter (or similar venue)? scarves, gloves, hats, shawls, wraps, blankets and socks are always in huge demand around here from Sept. to March, so i can't imagine that the places up in your region would be any different. you'll still tame your knitting bug and you'll do something to help someone who's in a worse situation than you. ^_^
