I got flowers today from my parents, which is sweet beyond anything. It's a really beautiful spring mix, all lilies and sunflowers and daisies and a few little roses; and they've been sitting in the study, filling up the room with (sorely needed) bright colors and just a hint of fresh sweet flower scent that I catch every now and then when I turn

Hee. Birthdays are funny. My dad pretends his doesn't exist, my mum turns thirty every year, my sister gets spoiled silly and mine... is kind of a non-event. It's like, "hi, it's your birthday, but all your friends are on holiday, except you don't have many friends to start with, and hey, let's go out for a family meal". And that's about it. Most people in my year turned eighteen with loads of presents, big special parties and the like. I... got one present from my parents, one from my sister, one from Lisa, and then went out to dinner with my parents, my sister and my girlfriend. And there was hardly any alcohol involved. Hahaha.

I'm a bad Taurus, because I hate rain. Love Spring, but hate rain. Water and I do not mix.

I do however love those really windy days when there are like, field waves and stuff. I BLAME LIVING IN INDIANA FOR THIS. I can see why despite it being "boring" a lot of people don't leave. Farm culture digs into you.

It is probably a living thing, because where I've lived (Ohio/Pittsburgh/Buffalo) gets a pretty good assload of rain all the time and you either like it, or move away.

I guess I like it. ALTHOUGH THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE THE SNOW, GUYS.
