apparently, this has since been resolved. iirc, the drummers were playing near some kind of feature that managed to actually focus the sound to hit that building more than others -- if you walked 50 feet to either side of the building, the sound dropped off *dramatically*.
the drummers moved a bit, and i think they're getting a park hardscape feature made for them or something, and all is well.

What were the yuppies doing home every Saturday night, anyway? I thought those types would be at strangely-named restaurants, eating red snapper pizza.
I see something similar to that happening out here as well. There's nothing quite like the wrath of a yuppie who moves out to a subdivision next to a farm "to experience the pastoral life", and then realizes that the farmer won't obligingly wait to start plows until after said yupster's hangover has abated. In both cases, I ask "What, you're surprised that the universe doesn't rotate around you?"
When I was in high school, a bee swarm landed in our back yard, and my father and I decided to keep the swarm and become part-time beekeepers. This was fine until the next year, when the hive decided to host its own swarm. My mother is an incredibly intelligent woman, but I was about ready to scream back at her when she started screaming about how I needed to stop that swarm before the neighbors complained. 'cause, you know, all I need is a tiny horse and a really tiny lasso, and I can make that herd go whereever it wants.
