L has been asleep through most of the day, but now that he's awake, he finds that he wants a cup of hot tea. He doesn't want to wake Misa, so he leaves a note, and decides to take a walk to the kitchen. Someone or other there will probably help him, and the change of scene might improve his mood

Did you see it? Down there?

No, I- It's just a hallway. Do you need- How can I help?

I think I will have to sit here for a while. I -- *he gestures at his nose* -- this is the first of this for me. Eventually, I would like to go to the kitchen.
*Blinking at her, dazed, he continues,*
You... were sick. Is it any worse?

Yes, something... damp. And a second dry one, if possible.

Here you go. I wanted to tell you, I know some rooms that might help.

Thank you. Very kind.
*He takes the wet paper towels and wipes his face, then his hand, then wraps them in one of the dry ones, then holds another dry paper towel against his nostrils.*
... Rooms? I don't suppose there is a hospital room somewhere. Laboratory?

No, but there's one with a talisman that heals people. And the War Room. If you... if someone dies there, they don't, really.

*He sighs.*
I shouldn't believe it... but this place... I would not be surprised if that were its idea of medical assistance.
I do not think I could take the War Room in my condition. The room with the zombies... was extremely exhausting, and had similar properties.

The War Room has weapons and sh- stuff. It doesn't make people fight.
*studies him* Can I get you anything else? Or help you into the kitchen?

I will keep it in mind. I wonder if it would work on something like this. Could... we be re-infected, if we were cured? Is there mutation? I wish we knew more about the illness itself.
*He casts a very quizzical and troubled look down the hall towards the kitchen.*
You are sure you didn't see anything out of the ordinary in that direction?
*He presses the paper towels to his nose.*
I would appreciate the help into the kitchen. Are you also well enough to assist me with some tea? My hands shake too badly now... if I tried to prepare it, I would burn myself.

*She looks too, but there's still nothing unusual.* I'm sure. Did you?
Yes, I made tea for- *long pause* I've made tea before. *She moves so he can put his arm around her shoulders if he wants.* Whenever you're ready.

Yes, but it isn't the first unusual thing I've seen since I've been ill. Sunday night, for example -- I thought I saw the body that we found in the kitchen, except that it was in the hallway near my room. It seems hallucinations are part of the syndrome.
*He struggles to his feet, and puts his arm around her shoulders.*
All right.

*She puts one arm around his waist, and rests the other hand lightly against his chest for support, trying not to think about how skinny he feels.*
'kay. We'll take it slow.

*They begin to walk towards the kitchen door.*
This is only the second time for me -- if you don't count the initial hearing problems. Sunday night was -- an anomaly. Also the first time I had left the room since I had to be carried to it.
*In spite of his protestations, his breathing is actually quite labored.*
