With Stratford only 45 mins away, I'm lucky to have such a fantastic theatre on the doorstep. My sister is a member and goes to virtually everything the RSC do, and now work are doing a bit of sponsorship as well, I get to go for free occasionally! I'm very excited about seeing David - the tickets have been booked for something like 9 months! And I get to see him again in September in Love's Labours Lost. I wonder how much of his scottish accent he will use?
Let me know what you think about Bonekickers - as a student of archaeology I suggest having lots of cushions around you to throw at the TV every time they do something stupid!
As for plans for the summer, I have a distinct lack at the moment. I need to sort some weekends away catching up with people. Might even manage a trip to sunny Edinburgh!
If there's a good production at the RSC, maybe I should try to get Judy to go. We saw such a bad Tempest a couple of years ago, I think she's been put off for life. And, of course, she's the one with the car ...
Boneknickers, as we can't help but call it, was rubbish indeed. The jury's still out as to whether it's so bad it's good, or just bad.
I highly recommend Dream - see it, if you can persuade the driver! It has just the right mix of magic and reality, and the fairies are really good. The Tempest is not one of my favourite Shakespeares - I saw it there with Patrick Stewart starring a while ago, and he didn't manage to change my opinion of the play.
Boneknickers...lol. I want to say that it can only get better, but I think that's tempting fate!
