Weekend in Review

Friday
Ed and I had made plans for him to be the one to pick Mia up that afternoon, so I was able to hit PetSmart, BJ's and Target all before going to Mane Connection to get my bangs trimmed. Target yielded a wealth of items including on-sale sweaters for both Mia and Ed, perfect for our Christmas card photos, and these PJs for Mia to wear on ( Read more... )

Did you get the idea of new PJs from the commercial? While they didn't sell me on shopping at whatever store they are advertising for (and see? Instant Fail if I can't remember the store name!), I do want a pair of new PJs. Don does too, so Santa may make this happen.

That may've helped, though I can't quite place what commercial you're talking about. It's something I've heard of families doing as a tradition, especially for the kids, but in poking around looking at the Nick & Nora brand of PJs, I've seen "family sets" and I think that's stinkin' cute.

What an eventful weekend!

I loved the pictures of Mia getting her hair cut. And I love that you called her a sheepdog, haha.

Diggin the new LJ name, it's perfect : )

Lane Bryant clothing is not cheap, I would be persistent in contacting them. I only purchase bras from them and have never noticed a strange smell.

I made schnitzel (chicken) last night, which requires 50% frying effort and has to be watched, along with sweet potatoes so I felt like I made a decent meal for the first time in weeks. I actually think it was because I hadn't worked, the kitchen was quiet and I cleaned everything up during the process. It felt good to be in my kitchen unrushed.

Planning out meals really is convenient and alleviates a lot of stress. Also stops a lot of grocery store stops with the potential to buy more! That is why I love planning my meals, haha.

Really nice post, good to see you had such a lovely weekend!

It was eventful without being overwhelming, which is great! I stuck close to home all weekend and got stuff done, and OMG do I feel accomplished. I forgot to note that last night I finally got the last of the wedding detritus OUT of my living room up and upstairs - some to be filed away and saved, others to be trashed ( ... )

That would be nice! I figure I'll post there when I try a new recipe and maybe that'll help spark things. I also have holiday goodies recipes that I can post as I make them/try them. I want to start trying to get good food photos of some of this stuff... casseroles look like vomit when photographed, but a prefect cookie? Awesome.

Bel Air SUCKS for having air pumps. however, if you're in Bel Air around Bed, Bath, and Beyond area, there's a do-it-yourself Car Wash place across the street, next to the Burger King (or is it Wendy's?) with a huge vacuum and air pump thing behind it. there's a gas station next door to it to, maybe a Citgo. next time you're driving down Route 1, see if you can find it.

that's where i always go to check my tires and wash my car because they're open and reliably working. :P

also, i'm honored you chose my suggestion for your journal's subtitle. just a quick p.s. though, it's dawntreader90. :)
