Whirlwind Weekend

I spent Friday working and cleaning and watching episodes of Queer As Folk and spending time with Ed and Mia once they were home. Around midnight, I packed up and hit the road to the airport to pick up angel_on_earth when she arrived from Las Vegas!

I would not have missed your shower for the world. I am so glad to share in your special events with you, grateful you invited me, and just happy to see you again! I am blessed to have such a fantastic friend who doesn't allow distance or lack of gatherings to affect the relationship.

I'm so glad you were there. It meant the world to me that you made the lengthy trip up, and it was wonderful to see you again. I find that as I move on, I'm realizing who my true friends really are, and sometimes they come from the most surprising places - like LiveJournal ;)

On the way out, your sisters asked me where I was coming from. I told them Southern Maryland and they told me it was nice of me to make the drive.

I wouldn't have missed your special day for the world. Being so far away makes any time I get to spend with you all the more special. I LOVED the extra hours we got to be together just us, and I owe a HUGE thank you to your mother and sisters for so graciously letting us have that.
Meeting Bobbye and Yoli was fantastic!!! They are both great and I can't wait to spend more time with them at the wedding.
Seeing so many of your family members again was SO much fun!! LOL I love them.
Your Mom and sisters outdid themselves. Everything was wonderful.

Oh my goodness, I had a blast... I loved loved loved meeting Heidi. I'm glad that you enjoyed your special day. I hope I wasn't too obnoxious. I always replay the day in my head, and I think I was annoying at some points... apologies if I did. I am writing a post about Saturday too... read it later today.
