Eyes Only

Sep 14, 2009 23:31

At eleven-thirty on Monday night, I hobbled back to my small apartment and tried to remember the last time I'd been there.  I knew it hadn't been the eight hundred years my mind was insisting.

One more problem, I decided, and I was out of solutions.

Rewind to twenty-four hours earlier, when I was collapsed to the floor, fluttering in and out of ( Read more... )

You have no idea how I cringe for you; back injuries are serious business.

What is it exactly that's wrong with your back? Is it a sprain, a pulled muscle, a ruptured disc?

If you're in that much pain, I'd forgo dancing. At least until your doctor gives you the okay. And no heavy lifting either. Take it slow and easy.

God, I am so not helping.

*sighs, sitting up against the pillows she is propped on* Yeah, this isn't exactly fun. Luckily, I'm trying to distract myself with a project I think you might enjoy. At least I hope someone besides me is amused by it ( ... )

*wipes brow* I'm glad to know you're healing well. Back injuries can cause you a LOT of problems, so hearing the doctor say "you'll be fine" is a huge comfort (and it's not even my body...XD).

While it does put a damper on your extra-curricular activities, I think maybe it's for the best that you're "off the barre." In retrospect, you'll probably see it as a blessing in disguise, especially if you can get well faster and save a little extra money for rent (and other necessities). Not that it's my place to say, but I always felt you were doing TOO much before; I just wish it hadn't been a trip to the hospital to slow you down.

I really do encourage you to take it easy. And hey! Get back to doing the things you love. Fanfiction, playing games, drawing on DA... Speaking of which, what's this "project" I'm going to enjoy so much? *ears perk*

This actually IS a blessing in disguise. I'm loving taking it easy. And actually, I don't miss overextending myself in forty different directions I didn't really want to be pulled in.

As you've seen by now, I'm trying to ease myself back into my wicked ways and bash fic again. *^_^* I flatter myself by thinking it may amuse others. Any suggestions? Anyone deserve it lately? Plus I'm really hoping to eventually finish my RW fic. I do have an ending for it, I just need to get back on writing the connecting tissue. Know what I mean?

And don't feel bad. You're certainly not the only one who thought I was overextending myself. Once I was unable to do too much, everyone started saying that they'd all thought I was stretching myself too thin. Now that I'm resting more, I can completely agree with all of you. Plus, the money I'll save could go to some sweet new accessories and movies *^_^* You know, if I can manage not to spend it on food. *^_~*

Sorry I haven't responded to many of your posts as of late. I've been mostly incognito since February, only to come out on occasion acting emo about my life and all; however, I just want to let you know that I have been reading your posts with much enthusiasm and enjoy the chapters of your life.

Now! About your back--ouchies. Pinch nerves are, well, not in the least fun. Do your best to take it easy and hopefully your muscles will relax and you'll be able to move about again.

Gah, you're sweet. I'm really doing so much better now. I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow. How are things by you?
