I'll have a much larger update coming soon about last night's concert and other random things, but I need to ask a favor for right now

So, I'm having this issue. My life is really stressful right now. I am doing a lot of activities, plus trying to do well in school and find some time to hang out with friends. the problem is that I am doing so much that I am starting to freak out. I like everything I am doing. I am involved in leadership with my ministry, leading small groups, working on a business major, and playing on an intermural team. I don't want to have to give anything up but I need to destress. What do I do? Help me!

Dear Chris, Are you kidding?! Internet people ARE creepy!! Okay, I'm joking...sort of. One thing that might help is the way you look at internet dating. When you go out to a club, bar, mall, etc. generally you're not alone. Most of us meet people through friends or with friends. So, who says you should have to meet people alone? When you're ready to meet someone in person, invite them to spend time with you and a few friends. If they were a scary, hairy old fat man with a dirty mind and even dirtier intentions, that will generally be enough to scare them away. However, if they're cool with it, you now have the saftey of larger crowds as well as a more comfortable setting to get to know them better. From there, you can make the decision to ask them out on a real date, or decide if friendship would be better. Of course, if you would rather they got as far from you as possible, you could always tell them you had fun, then block them on your phone and all your messengers. Don't worry, they'll get the hint eventually. :)
Dear Greg... (Yay!!!! This is sooo fun! I could write to you everyday!)yellowxtgirlJuly 11 2005, 23:29:04 UTC
...So here's the deal.... I have been working for over a year at a job and I haven't gotten a raise since the "three month" raise of $0.50 that everyone gets. I am supposed to have a review annually and my boss is avoiding it because she is a tight- wade. What would be more effective a)ask for a raise or b)ask to have my review? When is the right time to ask for a raise or remind her that I need a review?
Sincerely, moneyless with a money-nazi boss

Thanks for the advice. I actually got a raise on tuesday of a whole 50 cents and starbucks every week... WITHOUT even having to bring it up. I think that she is giving me starbucks instead of hazard pay but whatever, I am just glad I got something for it because I knew that she would never in a billion years give me hazard pay... did I mention she is a money nazi...
Anyways, I am glad she gave it to me then because she yelled ("discussed with me") at me for like an hour today... long story short, I shouldn't be the HIPAA Security and Privacy Officer...
I don't actually want answers to these, but if you feel like it, go ahead and respond. Otherwise you can just use them.
"What do you think makes or breaks a relationship?"
"If your boyfriend cheats on you, but then confesses and swears that he loves you too much to ever do it again, should you take him at his word?"
"Is it better to pursue a lucrative career, or follow your dreams even if they will leave you penniless?"
"Do you think that my political views should affect who I date? Can a democrat really be happy in a relationship with a republican?"
"If someone you know talks about one of your friends behind their back, but is really nice to your friend in person, (and your friend thinks that this someone is a great friend to them) should you tell your friend, or let them find out on their own? What if you tell them and they don't believe you?"
"If your boyfriend cheats on you, but then confesses and swears that he loves you too much to ever do it again, should you take him at his word
( ... )
I just want you to know, that when I mentioned only wanting serious responses, you were the ONLY person I was thinking of in my head :) Lol, I love you!
