The use of baby and babe really ruined the mood for me on a beautiful little fanfic.
It might just be a personal thing of mine but I hate it when people use them and the words/names reminds me of people from my town who are uneducated and promiscuous.

Your point is valid and I never thought of it that way since that part is pure me. I'm totally guilty of giving people pet names and sometimes it comes out in my writing. And I don't know for some reason I can see Kame using them too. But it is something I'll keep in mind for my later fics.
