"You know I love you right?"
Kame looked down at the man whose head was lying in his lap, "yeah I know."
Ueda nodded slightly never taking his eyes off the variety show that was showing on the television, "good I just wanted to make sure."
Kame stroked Ueda's short hair a small smile pulling at his face, "what's with the sudden declaration?"
Ueda shrugged his left shoulder, right hand reaching out to scratch Ran-chan, who had come to investigate what the two men were up to, between her ears, "I was thinking - "
"Uh oh," Kame interrupted, "that could be dangerous."
Ueda rolled onto his back long enough to glare up at the younger man who laughed at the look of outrage on his lover's face. Rolling back onto his side Ueda reached out both hands to scratch Ran-chan behind her ears, as she now had her front paws resting on top of the couch cushion tail wagging fiercely a sure sign she was loving the attention she was receiving. "As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, I know I'm a huge flirt..."
Kame raised an eyebrow but refrained from pointing out that he himself wasn't exactly innocent on the whole flirting front. At least with Ueda he mainly flirted with women, whereas with Kame anyone was fair game. Especially if he knew it'd make them feel uncomfortable, then it was just more fun.
"... and that has caused huge issues in the past. I don't want you second guessing me and my feelings for you, especially since I've never actually said the words to you before now," Ueda finished quietly.
"You tell me everyday," Kame replied turning Ueda's face towards him. "Every time you give me a good morning kiss while we're lying in bed. Every time you leave me a meal in the microwave so I can eat after a crazy day of filming. Every time you wake up early, no matter what time you got home the night before, just so we can have breakfast together. Every time you cuddle up to me before falling asleep."
Ueda sat up, settling himself in Kame's lap wrapping his arms around the other male's neck. Leaning down Ueda kissed the younger man, trying desperately to convey the whirlwind of feeling Kame's sweet words was raising within him. That awe inspiring feeling that this gorgeous, talented and overall amazing man, a man that could have anyone, had chosen plain old him.
Breaking off the kiss Kame rested his forehead against Ueda's while he reached up to cradle his face, thumbs wiping away the tears that were silently falling down Ueda's cheeks. "Every time you kiss me like that or look at me in a way that takes my breath away. All that and more tells me you love me everyday. Because if this isn't love Babe then I can't even begin to imagine what it could be like. And I only want to find out if you're the one by my side."
Kame lifted his chin to catch Ueda's lips with his own. Easing Ueda into the couch cushions Kame felt the same intoxicating thrill he did every time Ueda opened himself up to him. Pushing his tongue into Ueda's mouth, Kame was determined to show the older male that he knew just how much Ueda loved him.
Later the men stretched out on the couch in a state of satisfied bliss, clothes strewn around the living room and a blanket hastily tossed over their hips. Kame wrapped his arm around Ueda's waist pulling him so that he nestled his chest right up against Ueda's back, as if they were made to fit together. Sitting up just enough he trailed a line of kisses from Ueda's shoulder to ear, "by the way, I love you too Baby."
