In Which Amy Tries to Help Things Make Sense

Jan 25, 2009 13:53

Amy made sure she had a hotel room and some privacy before calling Beth, wanting to make sure that she was settled in and they weren't going to be disturbed before she got here. She knew the girl had to be going through some kind of shock with all that had just happened, and she didn't want any unwanted visitors to add more to that mix. There was only so much you could do in situations like this, but she was to be here for comfort, not business, therefore she certainly didn't want business getting in the way.

Placing the phone back down on the hook, she made her way through the living room area of the suite, before sitting herself down on the couch and crossing her legs in front of her. It was always a dangerous business when angels became involved, and that was especially true when they started pulling souls from Hell. Amy had never heard of anything like this before -- aside from the rise of Lazarus, back in the time of Christ, but that had been simpler than this. Heaven and Hell hadn't been welcoming either way at that point, so Lazarus was just -- in limbo, lurking between world to wait for the Messiah to welcome them home. Dean's soul here had a place and Castiel had trifled with it.

She would have to have words with him later, but now wasn't the time to worry about things like that. Right now, she wasn't here as a demon, or even as a Fallen. She was here as a friend, and that was what she intended to remain until Beth left her company and went back to Sam. Then she would attend to the Dean situation. However, some things were more important than the end of the world.
