Something to put my mind off feeling sick...

Jun 15, 2008 20:22

Probably shouldn't have (so let me know if there are any boo-boos...) but I finished off my garb diary on my 1st Tudor dress in a vain attempt to take me mind off wanting to be sick... stomach not good, muscles ache, terrible headache.... arghhhhhhh.....
anyways...

You and me both, buddy.
Dr put me on equivalent to 135mg morphine a day now. I've spent 4 days in bed - time to start trying to fight the dizziness, headache and sleepiness so I can get used to it all.

Shall try doing things this afternoon. After the internet this morning, more bed - otherwise it's more than this bear can bear.

Have L&S stitch project, or historical sampler design blog update, or match embroidery pictures with DMC card to choose from.

Got "Fashion in Detail" the other day from the library - very pleased with it and want my own copy for both the Eliz, and the goldwork.

Hope you are staying on proper food

I thought I was giong to work today, but my tummy has been churning and nauseous all night. I sat "you-know-where" for quite a while today.... so nope. At home. Out of sick leave (again), so no pay for 1 1/2 days... back on toast and water and no more. Hoping I can make it tomorrow to work.
My right thumb is killllllinnnngggg me so I am having problems typing.

Fashion in Detail... I think I have that one. (in boxes still so can't check). what is on the cover?

A closeup of the back upper section of a rose-grey dress. (unembroidered - it's there for the gathering technique I think)

Hey, I feel a bit better today. How about you?

Yes, that book! I have some envious thoughts about some of those gorgeous outfits and one day...
Today I am feeling slightly better. The GP told me to take tomorrow off (I don't work Wed, so he was happy with that). The joints are not aching as much. Not 100% but definately improving. At least I am not hot one minute then shivering the next, as I was yesterday.
