Wow. Don't go to Pomona Valley

So, today I received a bill in the mail from Pomona Valley Hospital, for the whole emergency room incident. It indicated that I owed rather a large amount of money on my hospital bill, as my insurance claim had been rejected. Of course, I was expecting this from the moment I looked at the envelope. Can you refile your claim under your actual name?

I think I did; I called them, was placed on hold for an inordinate amount of time, and was finally told "okay, we fixed it."

Somehow I am skeptical. And if they don't get it fixed, at least it can't go on my credit report as an unpayed bill; that would require actual information about me, right?

yeah...i feel like it could get fixed, but it'll take some calling & being on hold & stuff. good luck on that. :)

for one reason, i am not surprised at this. my parents once had to pester our insurance company for 1 year and a half to pay for putting my brothers leg in a cast.

they didn't give up on principle, because the fact that they refused to cover a cast is ludacris. they eventually payed for it.
