Just got back from Star Trek, which was awesome as far as dialog and dramatic development, but a total failure as far as physics*. Truly cool though, and worth a viewing. Yay!

The physics are indeed horrible, even for Star Trek, but at least they've finally discovered the merits of multiple power cores and equipping ships with point-defense weapons instead of just sitting helplessly while being shot at with missiles...
