Try "distraction". I'm no English teacher, but I'd bet you, dollars to donuts, that's the proper term.
Haven't seen any of those movies, though all look at least somewhat good. (Happy Feet, from what I've heard, is the worst, because of its anti-religion message, but that's hearsay. Otherwise, hearsay says its a good movie.) It's rather... erm... amusing that all the movies I've been to since coming to Seminary have been ones I wouldn't consider exactly, um, nice...
I hadn't heard that about Happy Feet; people have told me it's really cute (on the other hand, of the three this is probably the lowest on my priority list). Huh. Two of my friends saw the Nativity movie and said it was really good.
