Hiro's eyes squinted and he counted the number of shot glasses on the bar. "Captain not look good."
Mal waved a hand in front of his face, "I feel fine. Manly."
Hiro's face betrayed his reaction before the words did, "Huh?"
"You really are a strange man." Mal clapped his hand on Hiro's shoulder. "But I like you."
"I'm on very important mission." Hiro said. "You help?"
"Mission?" Mal took another sip of the rice wine in his glass. Why did I get this stuff? Nandi was dead. Drinking rice wine wasn't gonna stop that. "What sort of a mission?"
"I stop exploding man."
"Exploding man?" Mal turned to him. "Are you serious?"
"I a stitch away from making it," Hiro said with a sigh. "But I no have sword. Now I stuck here."
Mal spoke into the depths of his glass. "And a scar away from falling apart."
Hiro looked at him with interest. "What Kirk say?"
"I don't rightly know why you keep calling me that, but I will find a way to help you strange little man."
