Rating: G
Crossover: Firefly plus Heroes
On this never ending quest Hiro had met a lot of very interesting people. One time he jumped way too far into the future and wound up in a small bar on Persephone. One of the only people at the bar was a tallish man that Hiro recognized right away. "Flying man!" He ran up to the bar.
The man turned and looked at him strangely. "I don't rightly know who you are," he paused. "But you're dressed a little funny to be here in Persephone."
"Persephone?" Hiro mused. "Near Tokyo?"
Laughing, the man clapped him on the shoulder and handed him a drink. "Here. You need this more then me."
Hiro took the drink to be friendly, but didn't even sip it. "I sorry, where is here?"
"Here." Mal said amusedly. "Is a bar. And that is a drink. And I am a captain and you," he looked at him for a minute before deciding. "Must be some kind of actor in an amusing, but boring play."
"Captain? Star Trek?" Hiro resisted the urge to squeal. After all, he did kind of look rugged and adventurous like Captain Kirk.
"Star Trek?" Mal repeated. "Well, sure. I trek through the stars. Serenity's my ship. You wouldn't be happening to look for passage would you? We could use some paying customers."
Hiro shook his head sadly. "No, I am on a mission."
Mal sighed. "That's too bad. Here's to the stars." Raising his glass he clinked it against Hiro's.
"Stars." Hiro nodded slowly.
