Still no nursing job. The class behind us was apparently advised not to bother looking for jobs and just to apply for transition-to-BSN programs. One of my classmates looks like she's going to be working in NC, and she was the most aggressive person I've spoken to yet in terms of applying for absolutely every possible position in-state. I'm

Yes, I know all about the woes of having an old car, I traded him in (only got $100 for him) last year and I still miss him.
And yeah for making the con, I shall hopefully see you there.
Love Sonia :)

Even more boo to your car.
But YAYAYAYAY to Aeternitas! If you need a place to crash let me know. I might not be there, but Geoff doesn't bite. Not even when asked.

I hope you're able to get a car soon, and can go to Aeternitas. I know several people who are going, and they're all excited.
Boo-hiss for no nursing job. All this talk about cutting way back on funding for Medicare and Medicaid can't be helping the situation any. We're in a right mess now until the "boys in D.C." get it together... and maybe then we'll be in an even bigger mess. I don't think I'll ever be able to retire.
Enough of that for now. Here's wishing you good luck at this next Career Expo.

I do think that the national health care debate is part of it, but another chunk is simple New England snobbery: they've all started competing for "magnet hospital" status, which requires that most of your nurses be BSNs rather than ADNs. Meanwhile, I learned a couple of days ago that Miami hospitals will put a down payment on your house if you sign a three-year contract. Wish Miami was a viable option, but it's really not, for a number of reasons.
Thanks for the luck! I'll take all I can get.
