Finished watching Veronica Mars last week. I'm still boggled that's how they left it. I did like Season 3 overall though. I just wish they'd wrapped it up a bit better, and I'm crossing my fingers that the comics rumor has something to it. And then, of course, there's fic for the "I want more" fix ( Read more... )

Whee!

I do wonder how long it'll take me to stop thinking of 10 as Barty Crouch, Jr. It took several eps of Firefly to stop thinking of the crew as Caleb, Jasmine, and Hamilton, after all!

I'm a Doctor Who fan as well. We're forty minutes away from a new episode in the UK as I type.

Are you watching Dr. Who on TV , or is it available on the 'Net? I adore Torchwood, and would love to see the new Dr. Who series that engendered TW, but I checked Amazon, and the DVDs are like $80 for each 13 episode season and I just can't justify that much money.

I'm doing the Netflix thing. Between cost and storage, I can't justify continuing to buy seasons of shows I want to watch.

Oh, that's a good idea! I didn't even think of Netflix. Most of the time, if I really like a show, I want to own it, but this would be a way to preview various shows and then dec ide if I want to buy them.

Yeah, I realize it was because of the cancellation and suchlike. Just annoying.

Yay for Who! The very first episodes of the new series were my first introduction to the show, and got me hooked immediately. Of course then I went and found the old show and got even more hooked...

made me wonder if the assorted aliens who turned up in the second ep were supposed to refer back to the earlier series eps somehow

If you mean the various aliens in the one where the Doctor took Rose to space the first time, to see an, um, spectacular event, then no, those were all new aliens.

The Nestene (and the Autons / plastic people on a rampage) in the very first new series episode, on the other hand, first turned up in Spearhead from Space though - Three's very first episode (in 1970). And then again a year later.

Ah, okay. Something about the way he named them off made it sound like they were supposed to be familiar or something.

Oh, cool!
