I wish writing came more easily; and I don't mean fiction, although it would be nice if I could reclaim that (ah, nostalgia). I mean simply the day-to-day writings, most specifically in my case academic writings, but in many ways more the case of blogging, or livejournaling. I am periodically refreshing the Guardian's coverage of the IVF/abortion debate going on in the House of Commons right now, becoming angered at comments like "A natural relationship is a mother and a father. Overdue thoughts on BSG 4.0...5?
I suspect it is in fact titled "The Road Less Traveled".
I'm not quite sure what to think about this one. Generally disliked, I think, if not vehemently.
I do have some worries about the progression of the storylines; I wouldn't have if this weren't the last season, but they do seem to be dragging their feet a bit. Or maybe it's just that I don't ( Read more... ) -

I discovered today the *wondrous* tool that is Zotero, a Firefox extension citation manager. Now, I have admittedly never used any other citation manager or bibliographic tool (what, I'm going to buy EndNote?), but I can say that this is fantastical. All your books, journal articles, and so on, can be saved in the same place, with space for full ( Read more... ) -

These images are just stunning - it's an interview with Daniel Dociu, apparently the Chief Art Director for ArenaNet, the North American wing of NCSoft, an online game developer with headquarters in Seoul. TV!
My two best shows back at once. I am actually a little annoyed that all three shows I watch at the moment (Lost, Supernatural, BSG) all air within two days of each other. This is not good for my TV-episode-per-night watching schedule! I haven't got Lost yet, and I had to watch Supernatural and BSG one after another.

Before I watch 4.04... I'm hoping the torrent will arrive by bedtime tonight (why yes, I *do* plan to spend my Saturday night watching TV on my computer, thank you very much), although it's being slow, I will record some thoughts on the new season of BSG.
