I don't think I'll be switching....

To 4th Edition D&D any time soon. For one thing, I don't want to re-buy all the books. For another, we did buy a 4th edition Player's Handbook just to check things out, and so far there are just too many things I don't like. Some of it I could house rule, to be sure, but why should I when 3.5 doesn't include those things ( Read more... )

That it is. If you aren't into gaming, it's probably a little hard to understand...for us gamers, it's kind of like a new Harry Potter book, or the new Indy Jones movie. It's something we feel a real connection to, and it's important to us...and we really, really don't want to see it screwed up ;-). Not to mention that gamers can be some of the most nitpicky folks on the face of the planet (yes, me included).

Don't get me wrong, a lot of people are really impressed with 4th edition. So far, I'm pretty underwhelmed - it just isn't to my taste.
