I don't know what it is about my neighborhood, but this year we've had three major film projects (so far) shoot here and in particular my block has been a parking lot for trailers and equipment.  The USA show Political Animals filmed here over the spring ( and I took some crappy behind the scenes pictures) and tonight my street is blocked off for a ( Read more... )

Wow, that is a stellar cast! It will be cool to watch the movie & see your block.

Both Beauty & the Beast & Suits keep using the same street near where I work. No KK sightings yet, though I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

They're not filming on my block. They're around the corner. Political Animals didn't shoot on my block either. My block seems to be the preferred parking lot. There was a Neil Patrick Harris film that shot on my block a couple years ago, but I never bothered to watch it.

Perhaps you haven't seen KK because she's so tiny. It would be cool if you did see her.

I've been enjoying Political Animals so its cool to know there is a connection.

Why do you think your neck of the woods has been so popular?

My guess is Pennsylvania and Philadelphia are offering some nice financial incentives for production companies. Why my neighborhood is getting so much action? I don't know. I guess we can double for New York and DC. The Georgetown exteriors in Political Animals were shot here and the NPH movie from a few years back took place in NYC.

That is so cool! I'm sure it's a pain for people who actually need to drive in your neighborbood, but if you're able to get around on foot, I guess the mob of people aren't too much trouble?

It can actually be a pain for pedestrians too, 'cause they won't let you walk down the block they're shooting on. One time I had to go three blocks out of my way to get to work. That sucked. Luckily they've never kept me from my home.
