Clash of the Titans

So I watched Clash of the Titans yesterday because I've been waiting forever to see Liam Neeson play Zeus. It was... okay? :/ It felt like a movie with dialogue from its original version back in the 70's (so a bit cheesy) but with excellent special effects, especially where the Olympian gods and the Kraken were concerned ( Read more... )

Don't have super high expectations for it. XD It is a fun, brainless watch though.

The Greece in this story kind of felt like a cheap 300 ripoff.
You know you've been thinking too much about Hetalia when you wonder, hey cool, they have a Greece personification in this movie? And there's one in 300 too? And why didn't anyone tell me, I'd so watch that movie after a... Oh, wait, you mean the actual country Greece, not the personification. *facepalms forever*

I'm not sure I'll watch that movie, I'm usually very demanding when it comes to Greek mythology (that's also the reason why I have never seen Disney's Hercules up to this day, nor Troy, nor... well, most movies about greek mythology). But I agree: Apollo has to be blond. I mean, I don't remember many of the details, but isn't Apollo blond in canon, like, ya know, the epitome of blond gods?Oo;

LOL. Somehow, I knew that was going to happen with someone on my f-list. xDDD;

;A; I think I'm always glad to see the gods in ANY movie/medium, but it always makes me sad that they're never as accurate as what I pictured in my mind.

AND YES. O_O Apollo is the golden boy of the gods! He should have the most glorious blond hair ever. Like France. XD

And of course it had to be me!XD I'm not obsessed with Greece, I swear...>_> *whistles*

True, I can see that. But I'm always so disappointed that I prefer not to watch them at all in the end. Unless I have no expectations right from the start and only watch them for the delicious popcorn with the mocking.:9

Great, now I can't unsee France as Apollo. HE EVEN HAS THE SPARKLES!*_*

We're both obsessed with ancient cultures, it's okay.

Quite true. Especially since this movie just ripped the legend to SHREDS at the last five minutes. Totally random, twisted ending. D:

LOLOL YES. XD OMFG THAT'S THE BEST IDEA EVER.

I have a guilty confession of feeling that Percy Jackson's interpretation of the greek gods was nicer in some way.

Clash of the Titans was really kinda meh for me, seeing Zeus in the armor was really odd, i always felt he was a god of strength and confidence in some sense the armor seem to misled his personality abit..um somewhat like (he is so scared of being injured he gotta wear armor) that sort of feeling @.@

The lines were cheesy and the ending was really .______. for me.

DDD8 I'm so sad, I can't find that one to download for some reason. I'll try again later. Yes, I'm a horrible person.

Oh, the movie was pretty bad, like I said. xD; The armor was pretty but I guess I can see your point. I found it odd that Poseidon was in the same armor. Couldn't they have been creative and like, covered him with scaly armor or something? OTZ

UGH THE ENDING. IT RUINED THE MYTH. ;A;

I liked the wood-glowy-eyed shaman guy! And Medusa was still really cool. :3

I agree, the humans were bleh. And the ending... I thought Zeus was going to bring the family back. *shrugs* What do I know?

The ending said a huge "EFF YOU" to the original myth, which made me sad. D: I did like Io as a character though, so I guess I can't complain.

What WAS The wood-glowy-shaman guy? D: I couldn't figure out what type of creature he was!
