Clash of the Titans
So I watched Clash of the Titans yesterday because I've been waiting forever to see Liam Neeson play Zeus. It was... okay? :/ It felt like a movie with dialogue from its original version back in the 70's (so a bit cheesy) but with excellent special effects, especially where the Olympian gods and the Kraken were concerned.
I did LOOOOVE the gods. The shine they put on Zeus and those that lived in the heavens was lovely, although I don't necessarily agree with the hair choice. I thought Zeus would have white hair and Apollo would be blond, but it seemed like everyone but maybe Aphrodite was dark-haired and looked like some woodsman. Hades was amazing. He's played by the same actor that plays Voldemort from Harry Potter, and everything he did with his body posture to his voice to his amazingly beautiful eyes was just perfect for the role.
I don't really like the humans. The Greece in this story kind of felt like a cheap 300 ripoff. :/ Other than that, if you have a great love for mythology, I still think this movie is worth watching just to see the gods because they are shiny. 83
