The death toll is now at 84, making it a worse disaster than Ash Wednesday in 1983. -
Fires
In Victoria (and most of south eastern Australia) we've had some really hot weather recently. Yesterday it got to 46 deg C (about 115F) in Melbourne which is the hottest day on record. After 10 years of drought and the 4 days of 40+ temperatures last week every thing is really dry and a bush fire waiting to happen. As well as the high temperatures ( Read more... ) -
