All looks fabulous, though. The noblewoman looks like one of those evolving-type costumes where you'll continuously add details (and I can't wait to see 'em!).
The Star Trek kimono is beautiful, and the Mortal Kombatist in me keeps thinking, "totally more kick-ass than Scorpion's outfit!" which was what I thought it sort of resembled at first (ah, me and my video games...).
COOKIE MONSTER!!! Totally am voting to see a pin cushion of the CM! ^^
Don't feel bad about your mistakes, we all make them, and some of us have done much stupider (shirt with three sleeves and no neck, anyone?).

Okay, REALLY cringe-worthy, but during an attempt to make something by myself in the early days (I learned a bit about sewing from a neighbor and then used friends and patterns to go from there), I decided a shirt would be a good idea

I had found a good set of photos of a transparent kataginu on an auction site that I thought would help, but maybe it was the lack of seeing one in person that was doing me in. In retrospect I should have just cut a set out of white muslin and made lots of markings on it until I got the folds right.
