CSI Las Vegas Main List “Is it still there?” Jillian asked.
Greg didn’t need to ask what she meant. “Yep. Still there… And I’m going crazy.”
“I know, it’s horrible. Do you have a plan?”
“I’m working on it… Anyway, how’s everything in Texas?”
“Big as usual.” Jillian giggled. “Forget I said that, it sounded pretty raunchy.”
“Well, you people live on a ranch, that’s close to raunchy. So everything is good?”
“As good as they usually are. I didn’t have much sleep last nigh.”
“Did something happen?”
“Bill’s hunting trip. Every time he goes to one of them with his cronies I start
worrying. Six old men, most of them almost blind, out in the woods, miles away
from the nearest hospital… That’s just a catastrophe waiting to happen.”
“When are they coming back?”
“Tomorrow.” She let out a frustrated sigh. “But back to more urgent matters. You
are going to do something about that, aren’t you?”
“I have to. The whole lab’s been talking about it. They even put pictures on the
message board.”
“Oh my…” Jillian deadpanned. “If you think a good motherly slap on his butt would
help, you give me a call. I’ve done that before, and it usually worked.”
“I can believe that. I need to go now, we’ll talk later.”
“Tell Nick I said Hey.”
“I will. Bye.”
“Bye.”

Two Days Later.
“I’m thinking blitz attack….” Greg groaned. “He doesn’t listen to reason. Or me.”
“Maybe you should try the feminine approach.”
“What’s that?”
“There’s three steps.” Jillian chuckled. “Nagging, throwing dishes at him and
cutting off marital rights.”
“We’re not married, but I think that last one could work…”
“Good, but Greg honey…”
“What?”
“I don’t want to hear about it.”
“Okay. And speaking of problems with significant others, how was the hunting
trip? Did they come back alive?”
“Alive yes, but there was that usual amount of damages. One had cut his hand
with a hunting knife, a bear ate their food, and so on.”
“At least you know he’s staying active.”
“I could settle for a little less activity.”

Three Days Later.
“He’s starting to give in.” Greg beamed to the phone.
“Did he give up already?”
“No, but we’re making progress. I still can`t understand why he would do something
so stupid…”
“I think he get’s it from his father. He had a phase like that after all the kids were
gone. He even scared his secretary. Poor girl screamed so loud the whole
department heard it.”
“I can imagine.”
“Do you have any idea how long it will take before Nicky comes to his senses?”
“No but I’m hoping it will happen soon. This no-hanky-panky-or-even-spanky is
getting on my nerves too. I got some secret weapons to help my cause.”
“What kind of weapons?”
Greg started laughing. “Some X-rated weapons, and I’m sure you don’t want to
hear about them when we’re talking about your son.”
“You got that right… Well, good luck with that. You are doing it for his own good.”
----------------------------------------------------
Seven Days Later.
“Sanders.”
“Hey, do you have time to talk?”
“Probably fifteen minutes. Nicky really likes long showers. Even when I’m
not there with him.”
“Have you made progress?”
“I have made a breakthrough.”
“You mean…?”
“Yes, it took ten days, but finally he surrendered. I decided to pull out the
big guns and that did the trick.”
“Big guns?”
“A striptease with Nicky’s cowboy hat and very little else.”
“I don’t want to know.”
“You should be very proud of your boy. When he gets going he’s like
a steam engine-”
“Greg.”
“Sorry, I got carried away. Anyway, that thing is history, and all is well in
the world. Five hour marathon… I’m proud of myself.”
“Greg.”
“Sorry, I have a one track mind when I get excited.”
“Well, you probably want to get back to… whatever it was you were doing.”
“You want to know?”
“Greg.”
“Sorry.”
“I’ll let you get back to that. And thank you for persuading him. I tried and
I tried, but he didn’t listen to me.”
“Yeah, the whole team tried to talk to him about it.”
“Well, good riddance to that. I can’t believe it took him so long. Even a blind
man could see how horrible that moustache was.”
