This is beautiful. I love the style, more minimalist than you have written in the past, but it does not suffer for that. Rather, the prose is more honed, you zero in on important small observations.

This is one of them. You did a grand job of reminding me who Gaara was, it's been a long time since I first met him. Now I've met him again, for the first time :)

I loved how you write Gaara. It is as if you have invaded his mind and body and presented it to us in such an emotional way.

AHHHH, what a nice comment. Now that I have time to properly reply--

Yeah, it's not that I dislike touchy-feely things at all, but for Naruto and Gaara, the sex/physicality of any potential relationship always feels kind of ... I don't want to say 'secondary' but it really just feels like it's cementing what's between them, but what's between them even apart from that feels just as valid/nice to me. I really am content as pie to just write them walking around places and talking and doing ninja-esque things together, but I also like a bit of physical fluff/awkwardness.

(ahhh, what a cute icon) Yes, there is. gaanaru. The 28th was Naruto/Gaara or Gaara/Naruto day, so there's been quite a lot of action over there lately.
