We've discussed before that it must be difficult to write Gaara's POV effectively. I personally have never tried, but after writing this, do you think it was difficult?

Because I do think that this piece was effective. The reader gets an immediate feel for Gaara's perspective, not so much through what is said, but rather, how. I like the way everything runs together so fluidly. Seemingly random recollections--like that someone had told him it rained the day it was born, or that they used earthenware in Suna--are pieced into his observation of the Here and Now without missing a beat.

Or rather, by establishing Gaara's somewhat scattered off-beat persona. I think you definitely captured Gaara's habit of saying pieces of things that he is thinking about, but not the entire thing--even though the story is written from inside his head, which is impressive indeed
