...I watched the Melbourne production of "Love Never Dies" last night and I have to say I was impressed. I still have my reservations (to put it mildly) about the plot as a whole and the need for a sequel to "Phantom of the Opera" in the first place, but the experience was an enjoyable one.

Wishing Don't Make It So
I love Doctor Who - and am currently watching a few older episodes of the classic series. This has crystallised a thought for me that had already been niggling me. The new 45 minute episode format really doesn't allow time for a decent storyline to develop- it's okay for moments of character drama and humour, but the plot has to be sidelined in ( Read more... ) -

Don't focus on how it's done - it's easy to come up with a handful of explanations (and the truth is a mix of them all) - look at the effect, look at the performance.
