[The room is clean, in every sense of the word. As decrepit as the place is, Manfred von Karma knows how to keep a house, and he's ensured that it is free of any electronic bugs or traps - although he's starting to realise that such things wouldn't work in a place like this. Either way, it's his role to keep an eye on the others - the ones who know ( Read more... )

They are so far indestructible and they shock you periodically if you do not use them often enough. [Yeah, he thinks that's a little appropriate but as far as anyone can tell, he's as cold as ice.]

[Ignores most of what he says. :|]

Miles Edgeworth. Was it you who encouraged Franziska to believe your lies?

[not surprised.]

You accuse me of lying to Franziska? I have done no such thing.

Then tell me who did. Now.

Oh hey. If he's intent on setting Edgeworth up again... we should totally plot. >> /is all for that verily_ergo February 2 2010, 21:49:42 UTC
No one has spread lies about you, obviously, or is it that my own mentor is incapable of accepting the truth?

Well seeing how the first one fell through, he may try again! I'll hit you up when I get home. <3 fingersnapping February 3 2010, 03:06:23 UTC
I am perfectably capable of accepting the truth. What you are claiming, however, is not it.

Awesome! I actually had an idea that would involve Manfred, Gant, Kristoph and Daryan-- verily_ergo February 3 2010, 05:45:36 UTC
If you remember, I never claimed anything false. Therefore, you must be under some delusion.

(ooc: I had this ridiculous idea of Kristoph, Manfred, Gant and Daryan being like ":|" at Phoenix and Edgeworth, so they realize that if someone dies, they come back to life... aaaand decide to pin Daryan's "murder" on Phoenix and Miles with Kristoph and Gant planting the evidence in its various forms and Manfred providing the prosecuting argument, all in the hopes of at least landing the two in jail since murder is not a viable option (cause you know, lol, they'd just come back to life and squeal). /has too many ideas ooorz)

Or perhaps you are simply wrong.

((ooc: that sounds like an awesome idea - I think the difficult part would just be getting the villains to collaborate together - they'd be rather busy just...stabbing each other in the back and stuff. But. It could actually work, somehow!))

I know for a fact that I am not. Obviously this means we are at an impasse, since I know the truth and refuse to budge from it and you also know the truth but refuse to admit it.

For now, let's consider the truth irrelevant - all that I have to ask is that: were you the one who told Franziska of these matters?

verily_ergo February 3 2010, 10:11:05 UTC
No. I left the prosecutor's office after one last case, studied in Germany for another year and returned. She heard of my defeat by Phoenix Wright and wished to defeat him herself.

[Phoenix Wright? Oh, that's why that name seems familiar.]

Which is only natural. I can assume she succeeded where you failed.

Speak to her yourself on that matter, I am no messenger.

This is no war; I do not intend to shoot you...even if the news you bear is bad. Franziska has been most uncooperative lately, and I can only imagine it is your bad influences that have lead her astray.

You intend to have me shot, however, in one form or another, and her dealings with Wright are her business alone.

Who she has become, I will add, is the sort of person who is more than capable of making rational decisions on his or her own.

It has to be said that I find it fascinating that you hate me so and yet you come to me seeking knowledge about your own daughter.

'Hate', Miles Edgeworth? I do not hate you - but your reluctance has told me everything I need to know.
